Average Completion Timeframe The NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of End of Life Care requires 135 GLH. You can complete this course in just 4-6 months or take up to a year; it’s flexible to suit your schedule. Most learners finish within a few months, but if you have more time to study or relevant experience, you may complete it sooner. We offer full support for up to 12 months, so you can work at a pace that’s right for you.
Method of Assessment Portfolio of Evidence

To complete the Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of End of Life Care, you will compile a portfolio of evidence demonstrating your knowledge and understanding of end‑of‑life care. Your portfolio may include written reports, essays, reflective accounts, case studies, infographics or presentations, and professional discussions. As this is a knowledge‑only qualification, you do not need to complete a work placement. Evidence can come from simulated activities or real‑life examples where applicable.
