Create Positive Beginnings through Quality Early Years Care
The NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Working with Babies and Young Children Under 2 Years is a specialist professional development qualification for those who work with children from birth to 2 years and would like to further develop their skills in caring for these children.
This Level 3 Award qualification considers the legal requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and non-statutory guidance such as Birth to 5 Matters and Development Matters. You will develop theoretical and practical skills to assist you in meeting the educational and holistic needs of babies and young children under two years of age.
If you are currently working in a nursery, childminding service, or volunteering in an early years setting, this Level 3 qualification will help you evaluate and improve your practice, ensuring you provide the best possible care during these important years.
Once you have done this, you can then move on to further qualifications such as the Level 4 Certificate for the Early Years Advanced Practitioner or the Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care (Early Years Educator). You could be a baby room specialist, a key person for babies or toddlers or an early years practitioner in a private, voluntary or independent setting.

I really enjoyed how the course linked attachment theory and schemas to real-life examples.
Helpful all the way through
My mentor was great; they always got back to me quickly and gave me lots of information. I never got stuck.
Very useful for my work
It’s just so different working with kids under two than kids over two. This course taught me everything I needed to know to be comfortable in the baby room.
