Average Completion Timeframe The Level 5 Diploma in Leading and Managing an Adult Care Service requires 551 GLH. You can complete this course in just a few months or take up to a year; it’s flexible to suit your schedule. Most learners finish within 9-12 months, but if you have more time to study or relevant experience, you may complete it sooner. Method of Assessment To earn the Level 5 Diploma, you must submit written assignments and undergo direct observation. Importantly, this course does not have an exam. This is how you will be assessed for the duration of the course.

  • Direct Observation: You need to be working in a related job role, including a manager or deputy manager in a suitable care setting. This is to showcase evidence that you are prepared to take on further roles and responsibilities in a leadership position.  
  • Witness Testimony: A qualified individual will inspect your performance and attest to it through witness testimony.
