All you need is a laptop or computer and reliable internet access. No specialist equipment is required, so you can study comfortably from home whenever it suits you.
The Qualifi Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training requires a minimum of 36 credits. To earn 24 credits, learners must complete all required units. Then, they choose a minimum of 15 credits from the optional units. Level 4, you must get all your credits.
Teaching experience of a minimum of 30 hours. This must be real teaching practice in a real classroom or training situation. Micro-teaching and other simulations of teaching are not allowed as a substitute for real practice.
Must have three or more observations with a time span of at least three hours. You need to have at least half an hour for each observation. The three observations should link to the required units: Using Resources for Education and Training, Delivering Education and Training, and Assessing Learners in Education and Training.
Not at all. You do not need to have completed the Qualifi Level 3 Award in Education and Training to begin this Level 4 qualification. But people who want to teach should be qualified, skilled, or experienced in the subject they want to teach.
The qualification is for people 19 years or older. There are no specific skills or knowledge requirements, but the candidate must be qualified, skilled, or experienced in the subject area they wish to teach. All applicants must be able to study Level 4 or above, which is the equivalent of the first year of a degree. When you first get into the program, you must do a test of your math, English, and ICT skills.
The qualification can only be marked as pass or fail. Qualifi decides overall achievement based on the Average Percentage Mark (APM) or, should they want to, the overall profile and performance, provided that certain minimum requirements are met.
Yes, you can obtain Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Learners may not need to study a unit if they can demonstrate that they already meet the assessment requirements for that unit through existing knowledge, understanding, or skills. Where all the assessment requirements are satisfied, RPL may be used to provide credit for a single unit or the entire qualification.
Yes. Learners who have completed the Level 4 Certificate and then go on to complete the Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training can receive credit for prior learning. You must get credits from the Level 4 unit on teaching, learning, and assessment. You can do this through RPL. It can also be used to transfer up to 20 hours of practice and 2 hours of observed and graded practice towards the Level 5 Diploma requirements.
Some of the things that are used to grade students are written assignments, case studies, projects, reflective journals, oral and written questions, observed teaching practice, witness statements, audiovisual media, professional discussion, and proof of what you’ve already learned. Written tests are very important for knowledge-based outcomes. However, for competence-based outcomes, the teachers’ work is observed while they are teaching.
The QAN for the Qualifi Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training is 603/6042/2. This number will appear on your final certification document, and the qualification is accredited to the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF).
There are five mandatory units you must complete. These are Understanding Roles, Responsibilities, and Relationships in Education and Training (3 credits), Delivering Education and Training (6 credits), Using Resources for Education and Training (3 credits), Assessing Learners in Education and Training (6 credits), and Managing Learning and Development in Groups (6 credits).
There are six optional units available. These are Planning to Meet the Needs of Learners in Education and Training, Equality and Diversity, Assessing Occupational Competence in the Work Environment, Assessing Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding, Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment, and Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment.
