The NCFE CACHE Level 5 Diploma for the Early Years Senior Practitioner qualification is for those working with young children in a leadership role, such as a manager, deputy manager or room leader. It builds on your existing experience, and equips you with the leadership, management and specialist knowledge you need to be a confident senior practitioner.
You will learn different things such as how children grow and learn, how to plan lessons, how to keep everyone safe, how to work together and how to improve. This certificate meets the requirements for an Early Years Educator as set out by the Department for Education. Once you finish the course, you will be able to fill the role of Level 3 staff member for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in England.

| Method of Assessment | Internal Assessment: All units are graded by the team at South London College.
Portfolio of Evidence: The students create a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate that they have met all the lesson objectives. Assessments based on skills: The results based on competencies should be assessed in the real work environment through professional discussion, direct observation, reflective accounts, expert witness testimony, and other means. External Assessment Tasks: Units EYE L5 SP 2 and EYE L5 SP 16 are tested by outside sources and self-assessment by the students. You must do a professional research project and an action research project. No formal examination: Your grade will be based completely on the work you do in class and in the real world.
