A Childcare Worker provides care, educates and nurtures children in day care, nursery or in private settings. This position is good for people who love working with kids and who are looking to have an impact in their lives.
The Certificate of Level 2 is regarded as a stepping-stone to a career in childcare. A diploma or degree may not be necessary, but most day care and nursery positions have a level 2 as a starting point. There is the possibility of some roles being based on Level 1 only. However, having a Level 2, or Level 3 qualification would be a better option for higher career progress and opportunities.
As stated above, there are some employers who welcome the new staff. You can get valuable nursery or day care experience and learn things you need by volunteering at a nursery or day care. You can further improve your career chances while enhancing your childcare experience by even babysitting for family or friends, while taking an online course.
