• Learners should be at least 16 years old.
• Learners need to be working, volunteering or undertaking a practical placement in an appropriate care setting to demonstrate competence in both knowledge and practical skills.

Portfolio of Evidence: You will compile a portfolio to show that you have met all of the requirements. Evidence from your work practice and knowledge-based work will both count as evidence.

Workplace Assessment: You will need to demonstrate your practical skills and competence in a real work environment through methods such as direct observation by an assessor, professional discussions, witness or expert-witness evidence, reflective accounts or diaries, and written assignments.

RQF

The Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) is used to classify regulated qualifications in England and Northern Ireland according to their level of difficulty and size.
