Awarding Classification / Grading

Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications are graded as follows:

Assessment Strategy & Methods

All units are assessed through written assignments. Assignments are internally marked by South London College. All assessments are externally quality assured and moderated by QUALIFI.

Each unit includes assessment tasks that cover all learning outcomes and assessment criteria. Learners must meet all learning outcomes to achieve the qualification. Tasks are designed to be work-related, using real-world examples wherever possible. Some units may include a practical assignment, which will be observed by an assessor.

Learners are encouraged to use real organisational information or case studies. Where possible, learners can use workplace experience to support research and assignments.

Learners will be provided with a Candidate Workbook for each unit. This can be used to record answers and reference supporting evidence.

Formative Assessment:

Used during the learning process and provides feedback to support progress. Not graded.

Summative Assessment:

Completed at the end of the learning process, and is used to assess achievement against learning outcomes. Graded and includes feedback.
