  • This qualification has been designed to be accessible, without unnecessary barriers to entry.

Assessment Strategy & Methods

  • QUALIFI provides all assessment tasks for each unit. All tasks are designed to cover every learning outcome and assessment criterion. Learners must pass all learning outcomes to achieve the qualification. Assessments encourage the use of real-world, work-related examples and case studies. Some tasks may include practical assignments that require the assessor’s observation. All assessments are internally marked by South London College. Final results are externally moderated by QUALIFI before certification.

Formative Assessment (During the Course)

  • Used to support learning and improvement, not grading, and provides regular feedback to help learners improve their work. Feedback is clear, constructive, and action-focused, and learners are given time to act on feedback. Records of formative assessment are kept for quality assurance checks. Formative assessment does not count towards final grades.

Summative Assessment (End of Unit)

  • Used to confirm competence at the end of each unit and takes place when the learner is ready to demonstrate achievement. Results are provisional and subject to internal verification and external quality assurance. Learners are guided on assessment and grading requirements, so expectations are clear.
