Average Completion Timeframe The Level 3 Diploma in Playwork requires 477 GLH. You can complete this course in just a few months or take up to a year; it’s flexible to suit your schedule. Most learners finish within 9-12 months, but if you have more time to study or relevant experience, you may complete it sooner. We offer full support for up to 12 months, so you can work at a pace that’s right for you.
Method of Assessment To earn the Level 3 Diploma, you must submit written assignments and undergo direct observation. Importantly, this course does not have an exam. This is how you will be evaluated during your course.

  • Written Assignments: The assignments will be marked internally by an assessor. Your personal tutor will provide you with constructive feedback to guide you to improve in your future assessments.
  • Direct Observation: You need to undergo direct observation in a suitable environment.  This workplace can be a play environment. You must showcase your skills and knowledge when working with children ages 4 to 16. A qualified supervisor or manager should attest to your performance.
  • Grading: This qualification is awarded on a pass/fail basis and does not include any grading system.
