Method of Assessment To achieve the Level 5 Diploma in Accounting, you will be assessed entirely through assignments. This qualification does not have any formal examinations. The following outlines how you will be assessed throughout your course. 

Written Assignments: The assessment for this qualification is conducted through assignments, with no examinations. These assignments allow you to demonstrate your knowledge and skills. You can achieve a Pass, Merit, or Distinction for each unit based on the quality of your submitted work. To achieve a Pass, all learning outcomes for the unit must be met. Each unit grade (Pass, Merit, or Distinction) is worth a specific number of points. These points are then accumulated from all your unit results to determine the final grade for your overall qualification (Pass 180–215 points, Merit 216–269 points, Distinction 270 points). 

Internal Marking and Feedback: All completed assignments are marked internally within South London College. You will receive constructive feedback and guidance from your personal tutor, which will support your learning and improvement.
