Average Completion Timeframe The Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care requires 514 GLH. You can complete this course in just a few months or take up to a year; it’s flexible to suit your schedule. Most learners finish within 9-12 months, but if you have more time to study or relevant experience, you may complete it sooner. We offer full support for up to 12 months, so you can work at a pace that’s right for you. 
Method of Assessment To earn the Level 4 Diploma, you must submit written assignments and undergo direct observation. Importantly, this course does not have an exam. This is how you will be assessed for the duration of the course.

  • Written Assignments: The assignments will be marked internally by an assessor. Your personal tutor will provide you with constructive feedback to improve in your future assessment. You will be guided throughout your course.
  • Direct Observation: You will undergo direct observation in a suitable care environment.  This is to assess your practical performance. A qualified individual within the workplace can provide a witness statement.
  • Witness Testimony: You should produce a witness testimony to confirm your readiness of a care role in a senior position.
  • Grading: This qualification is awarded on a pass/fail basis and does not include any grading system.
