Professor Helen Thompson brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training. Helen holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Southern Mississippi and a PGCE (postgraduate certificate in education) from the University of Greenwich. Entry Requirements
  • Learners must be 19 or over, and should have a basic understanding of the English Language, numeracy, literacy and ICT
  • Vocational or academic qualification at Level 3 or higher

In order to qualify for the programme you will need to submit a completed application form which will be provided to you. This form should be provided to us within a month of enrolment along with the following;

  • Proof of educational qualifications
  • You will need to provide a copy of an identification document, such as a passport or driving license
Access Duration The course will be directly delivered to you, and you have 6 months access to the online learning platform from the date you joined the course. The course is self-paced and you can complete it in stages, revisiting the lectures at any time.
Average Completion Timeframe
  • This course can be completed through two flexible study options to suit your lifestyle:
    • Standard Course Plan (6 months) – ideal for learners balancing other commitments.
    • Fast Track Option (3 months) – perfect for those who can dedicate intensive study time.
  • Most learners complete within their chosen timeframe, though some may finish earlier depending on personal circumstances and available study time. We accommodate your pace with unlimited support for 6 months. This Level 4 Certificate requires approximately 140 guided learning hours.

Method of Assessment This course is assessed by written assignment, learners must complete several written assignments and teaching sessions, which can be submitted on recorded video (the number of written/practical assignments you will need to complete depends upon which optional units you choose). All assignments must be submitted to the online portal within six months of the course start.
Certification Those who successfully complete the course will be awarded the Pearson BTEC Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training. It will make you marketable to potential employers, and your motivation at gaining new skills will be recognised.
