RQF

  • Individuals not currently practicing, e.g. a starting point for aspiring assessors, internal verifiers, or a professional development qualification for managers, HR or quality assurance personnel.
  • Individuals aspiring to be teachers, tutors, and trainers involved in assessing vocational qualifications.
Entry Requirements
  • This qualification is suitable for individuals aged 18 and above.
  • There are no specific entry requirements; however, learners should have at least a Level 2 proficiency in literacy and numeracy or an equivalent. Have access to two learners to assess them in a simulated environment.
  • Have a colleague who can work in the capacity as an Expert Witness.
  • You must be presently working in an assessment role to complete the practical elements of this course. 
Method of Assessment This course is evaluated through written assignments. Importantly, this course doesn’t have exams. Here’s an overview of how you will be assessed throughout the course:

  • Written Assignments: You will complete written assignments which will be evaluated by an assessor. These assignments will allow you to demonstrate your understanding of the course theory. All completed assignments are marked internally within South London College. You will receive constructive feedback and guidance from your personal tutor, which will support your learning and improvement.

This course assesses your competence in evaluating a learner’s vocational skills, knowledge, and understanding outside of a work environment, such as in a simulated environment, workshop, or classroom.

  • Primary Evidence: The main evidence for meeting the learning outcomes and assessment criteria will come from you.
  • Assessing Learners: You must assess two learners on two separate occasions.

There is no grading, you only need to achieve a pass.

  • Assessor Support: You will have support from assessors available via telephone, WhatsApp, online discussion forums, email, and web chats, ensuring that you have access to help whenever you need it.

Certification Upon successful completion, individuals will be awarded the Ofqual-regulated qualification of TQUK Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement by TQUK.
Average Completion Timeframe
  • This course can be completed in a few months. Most learners will complete this course in 2-4 months. Some learners may complete the course quicker, depending on their personal circumstances and available study time. We will accommodate your pace, providing unlimited support for 12 months.
  • The TQUK Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (RQF) requires approximately 54 guided study hours. This figure is an estimate and depends on how much time you can dedicate to your studies and how quickly you grasp the teaching, learning concepts and course materials.

Academic Progression

After completing the Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement, you can advance to the Level 4 Certificate which validates leadership skills as an IQA (Internal quality assurer).
