Average Completion Timeframe The Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools requires 80 GLH. You can complete this course in just a few months or take up to a year; it’s flexible to suit your schedule. Most learners finish within 6 months, but if you have more time to study or relevant experience, you may complete it sooner. We offer full support for up to 12 months, so you can work at a pace that’s right for you. 
Method of Assessment To earn the Level 3 teaching assistant certificate, you must submit written assignments and present a portfolio of evidence. Importantly, this course does not have an exam. This is how you will be assessed throughout the course. 

  • Written Assignments: The assignments will be marked internally by an assessor. Your personal tutor will guide you and provide constructive feedback to make certain you succeed. 
  • Portfolio of Evidence: You will submit a portfolio to show your skills and knowledge. This portfolio of evidence will reveal your understanding of all learning outcomes associated with each unit. You will be internally assessed by a tutor at South London College.   
  • Assessor Support: You will receive complete support from the assessor by telephone, WhatsApp, online discussion forums, email, and web chat.
