Diploma in Learning Disability Awareness - Level 3

Overview
Learning disability, as the term suggests, does not render a person incapable to learn or grasp new things. On the contrary, a person with a learning disability can be as smart as or smarter than normal people. However, their brains are wired in a different way that makes conventional learning difficult for them, which is why it is important to identify the learning disability in a person to make appropriate learning arrangements.
If you came here wanting to learn more about learning disabilities to start up a career in teaching, counselling, psychology or social care, you are at the right place. This disability awareness course is designed to thoroughly educate you on learning disabilities and its causes to help you support and assist individuals with this condition.
The course curriculum will examine the effects of learning disabilities on the person and his/her family, after which you will understand how to support people with disabilities through communication, behaviors, environment and by promoting physical care. This course will also explore the mental health of people with learning disabilities to help you empower them. By the end of this course, you will be well informed about learning disabilities to spread awareness and to help your loved ones.
